Ribose

Large amounts of ATP, the body's primary energy-carrying molecule, can be lost from skeletal muscle cells during strenuous exercise or during periods of restricted cardivascular circulation. Ribose, a naturally occurring pentose sugar, allows the body to quickly replenish lost ATP energy stores.
